Named by Pete Folsom, the chief engineer of the Pioneer Townsite Company, ‘Hermosa’ means ‘beautiful’ in Spanish, reflecting the area’s natural allure.

Hunting, fishing, boating, camping, golfing, and outdoor recreational opportunities abound in the Southern Black Hills area.
